How much roughly will these damages cost? Can it be repairable like original?

Dear brothers,

Just need some advice and opinions from you guys, just had a minor accident for the first time in my life.
It's my fault, I ( Silver Myvi ) accidentally bang his car (Orange Myvi) because I didn't pay enough attention while reversing (Only look at left side mirror).

Can I know how much roughly will both of the cars' damages cost? Sorry, I'm new to this kind of issues and also my first time to be involved in an accident. Also, will my car return to the original shape or at least looks better than the picture lol. Do i have to replace new bumpers or spray? Feeling so down right now, I know my mum won't stop bragging about me about this issue. :bawling::adore:

Thanks everyone

Don't worry, it is just a small problem to fix. From the look of it, only your rear bumper is slightly damaged and scratched.

The Myvi in my house had undergone a worse accident than this and at the end after fixing, it looked like it had never been through any accidents.

You seemed to be quite young.

Thanks for the reply. It makes me feel better now! :)

Yeah, this happened in my college lol. Never been though any accidents since I don't always drive, only drive to college or places near my house. Also, I'm driving my mum's car that's why feeling down right now haha if it's my car then at least I won't feel so guilty right now lol.

Hopefully it's not too expensive to repair. Sigh, have to use my savings to pay. At least I gain some experiences and will try to not making this kind of mistakes in the future

I see. I'm a university student too. Things like this happens fairly common among uni and college students. I've actually seen worse.

From the looks of it, your damages are not very expensive to repair. Should be under RM500 I think. By the way, welcome to zth forums.

Yup, I think just need some re-spary of the bumpers
If lucky and want to save budget, maybe some polishing will also do the job. Din't look dented either.

You're welcome. Not very knowledgeable compared to many. People around here have decades of experience in cars while mine is just like 5 years. Still learning from everyone.

Well for your car, it's pretty cheap, just around rm100-150 to repaint the bumper.

Now for the other car, there are 2 things:

1. Repaint 2 panels, not just 1 coz got the bumper and the rear fender scratched, where each panel minimum cost you rm100-150, so already rm200-300.

2. Refixing/realigning the bumper. Now most likely you have broken some of the clips/mountings there, so depends on how detail/picky the owner is. If the owner is picky and know enough about this things like me, I will ask you to replace the clips/mountings with new ones! If the clips on the bumper are broken then good luck coz I will ask you to replace me another bumper with all the clips still intact, don't care how/where you will find them, new or used. Coz I don't want quick work around fix which will not make my bumper perfectly secure and perfectly aligned, so you're responsible to return the condition of my car as perfectly as before. Not sure how much would that cost. If you're lucky coz the owner also knows nothing about cars, then the workshop will most likely just charge an extra rm50 to somehow put it back with what ever trick like tie/screw/glue to make it look nice at least on the outside but actually a mess behind the bumper which may misaligned again sometime later. If you're lucky that the mountings are mostly still intact and still enough to secure them, then that's fine, probably also the shop will just charge some extra rm50 to put it back.

So good luck, hope settles nicely ya.

Looks too deep to be polished back. Moreover the bumper of orange Myvi not aligned already. Need to putty the scratches and respray. Like bro. 6UE5t mentioned re-spray need to go by panel. If do spot re-spray will be rough and later the color difference will show....

Looks like you are right. Even the silver one could be hard to polish back as I just noticed some deep scratch marks that seems to peel off a layer of paint.

I used to accidentally hit my rear bumper frame against a lamp post, so I went to a nearby workshop
to knock back the frame & apply putty for RM30, I then DIY to smoothen out the area with sandpaper & spray myself using RM7 spray can for the whole frame & bumper. but mine was black so its easy.

Hahaha yeah the advantage of having a solid black car, easy to repaint.
