Proton to spawn 2 new models August onwards + Suzuki based MPV!

Proton seems optimistic about their plan to introduce three new models in a matter of months; Persona, Saga and Ertiga in August, September and October respectively.

The plan was announced by Proton's CEO, Datuk Ahmad Fuad Kenali.

• The new Persona will be based on the Iriz hatchback and will be competing in the B-segment.
• The new Saga, which is based on current Saga's platform will get major revision and will compete in the A-segment.
• Then a new Suzuki-sourced Ertiga MPV, will be placed in B-segment MPV while the Exora will remain as C-segment MPV.

With the upcoming launch of these three models, Proton will soon have passenger car offerings in the segments of A to D. The current Preve and Suprima S are slotted in the C-segment and the newly-launched Perdana in the D-segment.
