Hi

Anyone have reconditioned their oem absorber before ?
Some would offer nitrogen refill and oil top up.

Does this works ?

I for one have more faith in any auto parts manufactured by
Oem blinking decades ago then any mfg. today or yesterday.

So If wish to keep the oem parts can recond actually make up
for parts wear and tear.? Esp the absorber......

Any thoughts....?

You're contradicting yourself. If you have faith in OEM, why would you want to service it by a 3rd party?

Why not just buy a new set of Original parts from the manufacturer?

Some abs can't be serviced unless they are modified - which you risk losing the original feel of the thing if the modifications aren't done well.

If I read between the lines stated by the TS,
I suspect the TS wanted to reused OEM parts (murah), but modified it (lagi best).

Anyway, there is no such thing as cheap and good. I wish stardard parts can be modded to perform as good as performance, but there is hardly any way. If things are so easily modded to perform, then performance part manufacturers can tutup kedai and no need to spend million of dollar and time for R&D.

Goods or parts manufactured back then in 80's90's are way more
durable then any parts made these days.
For instance ever heard of Toyota or Honda recalls back then?

For example steering racks if can find genuine retrofit
parts which cost the same cost as a new rack. Which would you choose.?

Manufacturing materials and process nowadays just lacks
durability which are attributed to rising cost.

Let's take a 940 volvo and ram it against the new S40,
see What happens......

940 volvo vs new S40. I learnt that having some crumple zones which they call it is better than a completely hard steel car.

The only thing that most probably happen, driver in 940 volvo will suffer even more serious injury than the new S40

Cars back then are more durable is just simple that they have less gadgets or less electronic parts in the cars. Cars back then are easier to maintain, not much new tech parts to care for.
