i recommend pulling and cleaning the throttle and iacv assembly including intake manifold plus maf, prior to setting base idle and timing:
Preparation: Tools needed:
-set of flat & philip screwdriver
-6mm allen socket/ extension/ rachet handle
-pliers set
-cleaning materials
-lots of patience... :D
disconnect negative battery terminal
remove intake/ air filter housing

disconnect throttle cable / aac/ficd/tps/mafs connectors

disconnect coolant by-pass hoses big & small

:)
bigger coolant-by pass hose sa left side

using a 6mm allen socket, loosen 4 TB mounting bolt

lift off the TB

see how carbon builds up in your throttle valve!

no need to remove MAFS & TPS for safety reasons (baka masira pa)

remove AAC valve solenoid/ body by loosening 4 mounting bolts

use impact driver set kung pasaway, para di masira ang bolt

separate aac solenoid valve body from TB

dito dumadaan ang hangin para stable idling natin.
paano kung puno pa rin ng dumi..
remove ficd (fast idle control device) solenoid siya na nagpapataas ng idling kung i switch natin ang aircon o loads

ito yung nasa loob ng ficd. may spring, plunger at washer na pwedeng tumalsik... at dumi na kailangan tanggalin.. :o

eto naman AAC valve after removing 2 screws

tanggalin muna natin ang o-ring baka mamaga sa brake cleaner

aac valve o-ring. i set aside

idle adjustment screw. ajust to set idling on engine. paano kung madumi rin... :o

always replace worn out gaskets.. kung hindi, idling issues pa rin.. :toink:

for the dne, warm up engine to operating temp (until fans kick on)
rev engine 3 times not exceeding 4k rpm
turn off engine
disconnect tps
turn on engine
set base idle
then set timing
turn off engine
reconnect tps
