Default Info on importing an S15 from Australia

Hello,

I already have my AP approved so just need info on shipping, taxes, duties and collection :)

Zyns15,

- dont send the original car keys when shipping. Give copy
- Fuel level minimum when shipping.
- Find a trust worthy shipping agent in Melbourne(usually in the region of Aud 1.5 k)
- Photocopy all documents
- Once the car has arrived in Malaysia, the shipping company will send u a letter stating the car gonna arrive.( docking fees and unloading fees here..around rm500 plus)
- Get a local shipping company to 'unpack' your car. i learn the hard way if u dont tell them to unload ur car, they gonna charge u daily rate for the kontena.( another fees here to be paid after your tax)
- the local company usually have ppl to do the clearance for the car
- prepare bank draft to pay the customs and duty tax.( u still have to pay tax my fren, this is all depends on the customs, they usually have the doket pricing alredy)
- once u get all of that paid, drive ur car out or tow it out to ur house.
-get runner or you go puspacon to get ur car inspected. Bring all document. all stock standard if can.
-then jpj to register
-then local tuning shop for tuning and GK mods.
PLS DONT LEAVE ANYTHING IN YOUR S15. ALL METERS,RADIO,ETC THAT IS removeable will be stolen at the port. Badges included!!

hope this helps...

Thanks for the information :D

I found a shipping company in Australia. They shipped my brothers Toyota Soarer here, which the port stole his AFC as it was the only thing not accounted for on the registry list.

Do you happen to have any company names of agents i could use here? The ones i found have quoted some crazy amounts. They Australia agent is reasonable.

I was quoted all fees shipping etc about AUD$2200. And the clearence fees etc on kl side is US$500. Sound right?

Thanks again
