engine problem with 2.4 gdi grandis

Hi all, asking on behalf of my friend and need ur advise on the problem, as subject mentined.when the car engine in cold, everything was look ok, but after warm up the engine check light on and can't rev over 2000 above. after this turn off the car and on again the problem still exist. what is the posibility or these problem
