Default prob with 4wd tank?

hello guys,
need help. i got a 4g93t halfcut lately which comes with the 4wd tank. My mechanic is suggesting me to use my original wira tank. He is saying that if he were to use the 4wd tank, the metal hose needs to be manually tied to the tank which according to him is not advisable.

Pls advice. what are the consequences of using a 4wd tank if any. Thanks.
