MY Stupid car..really hv a BIG Problem
full tank RM75 , only can move to 300km , the most lowest only move 210km
and summore no power...
when i step max on the padel, i can listen the Noise of the engine,
but the Rpm didnt raise...and no pick-up at all...only hear the Engine sound,, very Loud...wat happend man ?

hmm..after the warranty , i didnt go back to KIA centre anymore..

my advise,

1. for engine ramming, rpm not raise, pls check your gearbox, gear oil,, hrmmh.. hope not..

2. very bad fc (210km for full tank) , check the basic thing first, driving style? stuck in very bad traffic jam, etcs.. exhaust leaking? spark plug?, oil change?

3. go to expert, definitely not sc... maybe you can try kia metro setapak, puchong, bangi, or pjs.

4. if everything is okay, then proceed to mods to improve the perf. e.g ecu remapping for overall effieciecny, lightened crank pulley for better torque, low & mid range, bigger spark plug cable, better spark plug, etcs etcs.. the list goes on.. but rarely the perf will match with fc. so, must based on ur ultimate objective..

oh icic, but i juz service my car last 2 weeks, and
my spark plug i hv changed to NGK spark....
hm..izzit any problem ?

CoolMk, your spectra, and also mine, same FC. Full tank rm80 go 320km, u no need to check gearbox or watever, all spectra same Fc same underpower. Plus no 2nd hand value, the 2nd hand value is almost same to wira, kenari, and also gen2. And seriously, KIA SPECTRA SUCKS! The WORST CAR I ever drive! Luckily, next month I can get my new car, Honda CIVIC 2.0. Now I just waiting my new car only. Now I can say goodbye to KIA "SUCKTRA"!!! I think u now better buy a new car also. If not the problems will come one by one. Spareparts expensive!

Hi, I tuned my Spectra and now my full tank of rm70 can go up to 400km, on my lucky days. Also depends on the fuel you use. Try to use Shell petrol all the way. Once in a while, invest in a fuel injector cleaner. Also, you might want to check one part of your engine, can't remember the name but its something like the butterfly valve. You'll be surprise how dirty it is. Have it serviced and you'll see your torque coming back. I also changed my extractor, which helps a bit but don't tekan so much as your muffler will bocor like mine. Need to spend more money again on this car. Can't wait to change it.

well...sepctra it is realy sucks...i'm drivine that too, almost The WORST CAR I ever drive in malaysia (or maybe the world)..my old PROTON SAGA 1.5m can even run 2 time faster than this car...but let's come back to the point, not every car give you good FC, every car Spareparts are expensive too..but Spectra do have a very comfort seat(better than alot of car), Leather Seatsand some large space at the boot..anyway...it's nice to drive but bad for petrol..

Anyway, My spectra ady sell. I bought it RM68,888, and i sold it at 28k....
Dammit, I just drive 3 years only! and 40k gone! KIA SUCKS!
