Since i got the answer for my electronic crossover, from HERE. i wonder how i would place my speaker .
I have the following speaker that i wish to put into my kenari.

1.One pair of Component 6.5" Bmboschmann speaker.
2.One pair of 4" Mid BmBoschmann speaker.
3.One 4channel 1600w Caliber amp.
4.One B52 10" with enclosure.
5.One Orion 140w amp.
6. 5pair of RCA cable.
7. Few meters of 8 gauge cable.

do u think powering the tweeter (from item no.1) is overpower since its rated 1600w and the tweeter is 150w max only?

should i throw away the 4" mid ? (i plan to put it at the rear passenger door)

ice cube...throw away ur passive n ur 4"...nonit 4 the rear also....

prom ur hu preout go 2 ur active x-over....then from ur x-over go 2 ur 4chn amp....power each driver wit 1 chn...so means 2chn 4 the mid n 2chn 4 the tweeter...

then the normal 1 is the sub...same thing...

if your active xover can do 3 way, thn ok la. but if ur xover is only 2way, thn canot. actually not really canot. perhaps u can use back the passive xover to your comp and use the active xover on your 4" but HARDLY got plp do like that. i've 1 fren is doin that though

his active x-over is a preset freq range... so will be diff to do tuning.

But i would recommend HU - X-over -> High -> orion Cobalt -> tweeter
Mids (bandpass) -> caliber -> 6 inch
low -> caliber -> subwoofer

Reason is the orion will give better SQ than the caliber. Or you can swap the orion to the mids.

Thanks bert!! Why didnt i think of putting the orion to the mid or tweeter before?!.. hahaha.... i think should put it for the 6.5" at the front door.
i got another cheapo 35w x2 amp, could i just use that to power the tweeter and use the 4channel (bridge to 2ch) and power up 2pcs of B52 10" ... would the tweeter sound good with the 35w or its not a good idea at all ?

thanks for all the input guys, really learning from u all.... really appricate it. :)

icecube,

1st. let me ask u. why u wanna run active? to achieve better SQ? if so, why u keep compromise with getting cheapo stuff? slowly hunt for the right thing for the right time. sometimes many cheapo thing can equal to 1 good thing that might able to cover all the thing

Yea, i want run active to achieve better SQ... i compromise on cheapo stuff becoz i already have some cheapo amp and i am thinking since its laying there collecting dust, could i put it to use .... (as the x-crossover would filter out most noise and end up the cheapo-amp sound is not that bad...) i could throw away the cheapo amp if its not good to put in my new setup.... i am just asking for opinion becoz i dont want to waste $$ to buy the same stuff over again. :) hope u understand. I am putting what i have now to use.
