20v,
I have seen these pics in Evo Mag last year. Before that, I also watched a vcd about Sabah races borrowed from a fren and saw a 120y running with a rx7 with big slicks(like M/T). Was it the same car? The first round was even between the two cars from the vcd. The second round looks like the 120y launching slower or tyre spinning or something. But the vcd does not show the 120y having big mickey thomson tyres, just normal tyres(maybe semi or slicks?).

Usually top cars from one place, like Pink Thai Silvia or S'pore Garage-R EVO.will take all hassles & money to challenge in another places. If this 120Y have no match in Sabah, Why not come to get an official ET from the latest NHRA certified X'mas tree in Sepang?
It should be No way to prove Sabahan's cars are fast if this place has no proper drag strip & also no racing circuit!
Talking is the most easiest thing in this world especially after a cup of coffer for just a few cents.

dude
you're talking thailand and singapore.. which is easily accessible by roads. This is sabah la. Even to go to Miri for the borneo drag race, cost around RM5000 for transportation/storage/accomodation for 2 days.
flying the car ain't cheap... shipping the car won't be that safe... then there's a matter of storing the car... also tuning the car there. it's just not worth the hassle to them.
20vturbo
that was before the NOS and slicks. ;) hehehe... but long time ago la that race. got the vcd aaa? pass2 to me ler.
yeah talk is cheap... especially if you just heard this and that... but not experiencing it.
VISwork RX7 is an old old champion from sabah. There are some monsters here, just waiting to come down to sepang. Toyota GL with 2JZ and T51KAI, Toyota Levin AE86 with 1JZ and twin 2540, well.. also the CA18det bluebird with garrett GT35, that 120y, R33 GTR with twin 2835 running MoTec... and more. that's only sabah. ask 20vturbo about sarawak la. that EVOIII quite fast also.
oh.. btw, did u see vcd for borneo drag race? the owner of the mirage turbo is also the builder for the 120y and other cars. running haltech. bugger ran consistent 11s on semi slicks only on a very hot day in Miri. Now, imagine if we take the car to sepang, with all the grippy surface and playing at nite... <_<

guys,
right right...i think there were too much of the hassle of east and west kind of conflict when mildseven post the borneo drag race..but then again, i believe there will be an event for all of us to come together and race.. :)
to think of the Sabahan bringing the car all the way down here, its really not worthy at all for them, workshop and mechanics need to survive too..
20V,
wow, thanks for the pic..i think i saw it before in the EVO mag too...now i remember..by looking at the rear view, wah!!....that must be some kind of  ..respect!!
anyway, if our plan for Sponsorship is succesful this year, we plan to get our dragster down to borneo this year....by then we can really make a comparison between us right.. :)
talking about the pink car from thailand, they are not as wealthy as we think here in malaysia...they are also a bunch of ppl who trying so hard to be fast and that pink 180sx took them almost 10years before their space frame can run straight...if you guys noticed the other blue E30 space frame, that car hasnt been able to go straight at all...as for the s'pore Red evo, no doubt they are blardy fast and balrdy loads of money spent....but at least, the money spent came out result.. :)

tony5050,
wow,a very big twin snail there.just create a new topic man.i respect you, cause you ain't hiding and those type of people with secrets..what for secrets if we can't step on the podium right? to build an 8 second car(which is our main topic here),we have to change our mindset.care to share with others, give opinions and throw away the rivalry among us.
topui,
i have shown andrew 120y,why not u show stanley bluebird pulak.prove it ain't bullshit.heheh.i know u won't.. :P
here in east side, got lots of fast cars, but we ain't got place and proper facilites.example borneo drag got one "out of radar" satria from kuching running evo 4 full mod engine with big turbine, ecu wrapped in kain batik, full lighten body(with a kind of material that can go to it's original shape if u press),dogbox..blabla..lotsa money went for the project, but where the car goes? at his house.. :(
hp gila
yes, talk ain't cheap right.why people had claim or seen some fast sabahan/sarawakian cars? because they knew the setup, see the car perform on road (which is illegal). we here got no proper facilites like your place with those amoil,n1 racing and lots of access to big chop shop, and proper ground(sepang, jempol, pasir gudang). people here are searching high and low, scavanging parts but they still can produce wonderful results. look at the sarawak evo 3 with second hand junk parts. it still can become champion.our grounds? roads..old airports..i believe if ferry malaysia or a bridge linking between borneo and peninsular is there, soon you'll see borneo boys in action. B)
anyway, apart from ringo rx7 and 120y,is there any other malaysian cars running on tube chasis?

Sabahans started ilegal drag racing since the early 70', and the very first Sabahan to shown flying colour in the West here, as we know is Mr. C. F. LO who has won several races from early 80', 2nd. Sabah car is the Corolla GL 3TG turbo in few year back, and the last year Mr. Ringo's RX7. These are the Sabahans who have the racing results here & We have to respect their years of modification & experiences in Sabah motorsports. These 3 Sabahans have proven themself and they need not talk or tell people that how fast and how talented are they to fit those sophisticated parts from aboard.
When nobody can match the true king of Sabah road; he should be a boring champion now and this is worth trying to match the higher level guys of Malaysia Capital-KL.

Hi everyone, I own a new proton waja (auto) 1.6 and find that it needs a little boost of power. So I thought of getting a drop-in air filter and modifying the exhaust system. Apart from that is there any other way to increase the car's performance. I hear a lot of technical words such as blof-off valve, turbo timer and so on. Can someone explain what all this is and would it be able to help increase a waja's performance. Thank you.

here's the front view... hehe.. had to cut out the guys in the pic la. all the pics got people in it. so, i just post this pic la! hehe :D btw, it has run 48psi before. when i was in the car, he ran 30psi only and it was freaking fast!
yeah... it's true most of the parts are sourced locally and from chop shops... and they're not as cheap as west malaysia. These cars were built over time... andrew's 120y was built in about 6 to 7 years. this bluebird is also a work in progress.
haih... no use la explaining to HP Gila.
Tony5050,
that'll be interesting to see your monsta against top cars from the east. ;)
