1.5 DOHC (will be easier to pass JPJ)
1.6 mivec (harder to pass JPJ but possible) - cost higher
1.8 Mivec (harder to pass JPJ but possible) - cost even higher
1.8 GSR turbo (harder to pass JPJ but possible) - cost even higher

all depends on how deep your pockets are.

mivec has 2 types.
silver or black

transplanting engine is fun, but just make sure it doesn't lead to chassis crack. Seen few mivec & evo3 transplanted in C96 chassis, they suffered from chassis crack after few months/years... Try to maintain a engine which has horsepower around 120whp to prevent from chassis crack. My suggestion would be 4g91 or 4g92p... Easy to endorse, suit with 1.3 chassis, don't have to worry about chassis crack... & yeah, 4g13 owner too here... :D

oh yea... i forgot one more that the more ambitious people do.

they transplant a 4G67 (1.8) for endorsement. then later portion when they hunger for power becomes more and more.
Plonk in a Evo block and welcome to power paradise. 4G67 parts shares majority of the 4G63 parts i think.

mine is 1.3 too but wira ab..hehe..plan this end of year to transplant 4g92 SOHC..cheaper engine+roadtax and easy to endorse..1.3 is too weak and high FC as well..

got budget can play turbo somemore..here some guide to BOT..

yeah, 4g13 is underpower and quite high FC if compared to 4g15... But don't have to BOT la bro... for 4g92p, u can get easily 100+whp... u are in C96 chassis... if in C99, its different story... :)

Based on JPJ rules of 25% upgrade... U can transplant up to 1.6 without problem... But if 1.6, must hav rear disc brakes... Means the most powerful engine dat is legal would be Mivec, which cost a bomb... I doubt u can find 4G61 (mirage turbo) now, still mountings need to b mod for 4G61....
Craziest way is... Drop in an evo engine... Knock 4G61 engine number... Dats wat I did on my previous wira... Never had chassis crack issue for the 2yrs I'm using... Only firewall cracked due to hard clutch...
