I think you've missed the point. You aren't a certified driver or tester. I've pleaded my case you may continue making assumptions about nissans, mitsus, hondas, toyotas and what not the fact remains you can't certifiably prove anything other than here say.

Sorry, you may think you're right and i congratulate you in your ignorance, but the fact remains you haven't proven shit.

You missed the point
i not a certified driver and tester
but i do own both engine
i do own SR16VE and SR20DET
and still driving both
so i got my point here
and that why i only mention SR16VE and SR20DET

Any sorry for my ignorance but
Did you own both engine to give your feed back on this engine ?

Still cannot take out the mentality of turbo car is harder to maintain than NA ?

for you info.. i do own Wira 4G63T before i switch camp
and i know how hard to maintain it

and i do own RB26DETT RWD Skyline before i go back to SR20DET
and for your info, the fuel consumption of the RB26DETT is much better than my previous 4G63T

:)

yes im agreed with cmng.
i do own sr20det
and it easy to maintain.
but if the engine in stock condition.
fuel consumtion?..
my own bluebird u12 can go 500km within rm100.
not so bad haaa.
and the reality is sr16ve is quite rare and that why its very expensive.

Hi guys.

Actually I feel SR20VE fuel consumption is quite good.
Recently transplant a unit into super saloon and it performs better than my 4AGE 20V blacktop!

2.0 eat less fuel than 1.6... I feel it may be because of the car power to weight ratio.
Bigger power but lighter car means can pull without stress. Hence, less fuel consumption.I may be wrong la... but as it is, I think the SR20VE is a very good engine with excellent fuel economy. Haven't tried the turbo DE's before.

Based on my own SR16VE's fuel consumption, it's about 10.1 KM/L, which is pretty alright for an 11-year old engine... The mods to the engine include a JASMA-certified extractor (dunno what brand as it came with the half-cut), HKS mushroom air-filter, ULTRA plug cables, and Denso Iridium (IK20) spark plugs. I'm still using my stock B14 mid-section and back box exhaust, am planning to switch them to Hot Bits (2" diameter) in the near future, hope that would improve the FC a bit more...
