oldskool is not just an olskool. they can be standard olskools. there are performance oldskools as well. american muscles could be in this group indeed....
here's sample of returning a legandary japanese oldskool to the modern cars levels; performancewise and competition...

it's a ta22. scrapping paint is a day job. some time it will take another day... and all depends on the paint and car condition. we can scap it fast on this celica because the shell treatment is so well coated. down there, at the bendul, it a bit tricky...
the job started as early as we start operating in the morning... at 6 it's like this..
wow, a Ta22 celica for restoration. Must wait to see when it is fully restored. looks muscular for this japanese car.
BTW, the bendul you meant, is the rocker panel right?
Do you buy them or you fabricate them at your shop? I know that since 1970s car parts have no longer in stock.
Thanks guys.. actually four of us are really into oldskools. for that reason we teamed up with this idea of having our own garage. Our initial idea was to treat own machines. After we made some calculation vs. number of oldskools we have, it's better to run ouselves than to wait wait and wait.. lebih puas hati laa... later on it come out as our business cum hobby. do you know that how long we have to que to get our cars restored?... just give a try... ask lah when you free free... that's the main reason playhouse garage is founded...
TA22
When i first saw the car, i guess not much is to be done. until it's stripped down, then only the true colour can be seen. So guys, if you're planning to restore your car to the utmost, it is suggestible to have it paint-stripped all over. the owner and the tukang bikin body will have to have mutual understanding on the unexpected thngs. for that reason our garage will quote all in mandays, so in case of anything boths parties are in win-win...
timeline
we can estimate very right timeline once the car is totally bugil. so, initially, paint strip service will be offered in the first place. then, the customer can decide to carry on or not once that finished.
the deconstruction and reconstruct..
