Ferrari and Lamborghini will always be archrivals as long as they exist in the motoring world, and they had actually engaged in a silent power race between each other for quite some time. For example, when Lamborghini came up with the new Gallardo, it has 560 horsepower in its disposal which not long after that, Ferrari put its 458 Italia into production with 562 horsepower. Lamborghini then countered once more with the LP570-4 Superleggera, with the finishing touch being the Aventador that holds 700 wild horses to gallop with.
Not wanting to give up, Ferrari had now prepped its Aventador-hunter with its latest supercar which is being regarded as the fastest to have ever come out of Maranello, the F12 Berlinetta. Like the Aventador, the F12 also bears a V12 which unsurprisingly has more power than the foe’s; 730 horsepower to be exact. Mated to a seven-speed, dual-clutch gearbox, 0-100 only takes 3.2 seconds and will go all the way up to a top speed of 340km/h.
And as an extra show of this newly born supercar, Ferrari had brought down two of its Scuderia drivers which are none other than Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa to arrange a little demonstration in showing what kind of damage this new heavyweight player could deal on the tracks.
There is no question with the addictive symphony that the V12 churns out, and the looks are also undeniably stunning. If given a choice, would you settle down with this or the LP 700-4 Aventador? Tough call, is it not?
