Kaminari - I don't think Tomei needs your original engine in exchange and quite a few people I've spoken to did not mention anything about this. I could be wrong though.

From what I can tell from a very quick survey of the car, the block is as good as gone with a visible hole on the left side. Won't know if the head is gone too but will find out tomorrow - I'm not optimistic so I'm just going to assume the worst and prepare to replace the entire engine.

I guess the only decision that remains is should I trust local workmanship or is the extra money for a Japan built motor worth it. I'm leaning towards Tomei / HKS 2.8s cause I just cannot justify an RB30. Then, turbo selection is another thing I have to make my mind on - twins or single. Currently GT-RS but we'll see.

I'll decide by Thursday latest - now work top priority. If you guys have any suggestions in terms of set-up (stroker/cams/turbo combo, etc), feel free to share. I'll try my best to document the build step by step with pictures where possible to serve as a reference for us all.
