ur b16a from which front cut?

the compression ratio needs to be reduced to 9:1 if im not mistaken.currently you're engine should be 10:2:1..If im not mistaken

NOT nesseary walbro, skyline r34 fuelpump also can use (100% more than enough to use)
Its the matter of how you tune your ecu/piggyback that controls your injectors to pump sufficient petrol into your engine

i would say get a walbro , opting for 2nd hand units are cheaper , bt many fail further more u got to mod it to fit unlike walbros are drop in, walbro's only cost RM380 about tht, n u dnt have to think of it anymore , do it one shot , u dnt want to boost on the road, then break an engine because the 2nd hand pump failed.

to thread starter:
vtec turbo is not cheap. dont simply decide to do it if u have limited budget. moreover, most people nowadays no longer buy used pistons. people buy brand new forged pistons n rods. this can take u further, and also can withstand much more potential upgrades when u decide that beating ur neighbour's satria evo is not enough n u want to try to chase ur classmate/workmate's bmw e30 with 1jz.

for the same reason, better buy brand new walbro fuel pump cos it'll be 1 time investment, rather than buying some chop shop fuel pump, and when u want to upgrade more, u still have to buy walbro.

it might be expensive in the first place, but in the end when u look back, u will feel relieved that u have done the right thing.

as for engine management, crome (software for stock ecu) is extremely efficient. can control big injectors, can control fuel n ignition maps with boost. no need piggyback anymore...

soyouthinkyoucandrive: if local shops sell at rm480, try to look elsewhere. there are many reputable shops in aussie/states that sell at much cheaper prices, and sometimes they offer free worldwide delivery. of course your sr20 fuel pump is working well at ur current level. what if u decide to plonk in bigger turbo, big injectors, wind up the boost? i'm sure u still need aftermarket fuel pump.

i will say wht khoyos said
do it once n for all
u get a sr20 pump for 160 , bt when u start playing with turbo,
its totally diffrent, N/A's arent that easy to break pistons ,
if ur pump fails , puffff on boost :P
further more its not so much more expensive, for new + higher fuel flow + reliability
its better than breaking the pistons or sitting beside the road with fuel pump failed ehhehe
