Hello Forumer...
I own a 2000 Honda CRV First Generation Last Batch...
I installed a Koni Yellow Sport Suspention paired with H&R Race Spring (RED)

The car was so stable on high speed mostly when I travel KL-IPOH once a week...
Its the sport best suspension setup I've ever own in my life

Now Im driving a 2nd Generation Honda Jazz GE8 CBU with paddle shifter...
On last week of chinese new year I brought the car to TITAN specialist...
The gave me the brief yet most reviewed I read on forums said that its the most comfy adjustable on the market...
So I made a decision of installing them...
Before I proceed to them I told them that I want a setup that are good for conering while theres a comfy side...
I gave the car to them and I was given their persona that equip with their Titan Adjustable and I was suprise how comfy the ride is and the steering feedback while conerning is very impressive...

On the same day I got the car and drove it to home I found that the ride is quite harsh...
I was like oh its ok maybe it the nature of adjustable suspensiom...
On the night I tried the car on MRR2 to cheras and I was like WTF!!! Its very stiff and bouncy like hell...
Even my friend that was with me said its like your shock dont do their job...

Later on next day I went back to them and they installed me their spring 5K on front and 3K on the rear...
I was like oh ok Im fine with the ride feels...
Later on the other day I traveled back to ipoh...

Again I was like WTF!!!
Its still bumpy and bouncy while cruising on the highway...
And the next week after I went back to them and they told me that they will try to soften the shock compression...
I proceed and it was the 2nd tuning and it was the last tuning they gave me as a new buyers you have the ringht to get only 2 times of free tuning...

Suddenly while I was waiting they came to me and said it not possible to soften it further more...
So they sunggest me to come tomorrow morning to get back my oem spring to be install on the rear...as We cannot proceed it on the day as its already 5pm...

So on the next morning I went to them and I left the car to them with my oem rear spring...
At about 4pm...I went back to them and I saw the height of the rear was like WTF!!! It was so hight as same as stock setup...
Before I proceed to transplant the oem spring I was told that they can make the height setup as low as the current setup with thier spring which was 2.5 finger gap...
But once I saw it...I said this wasnt right...
So I told them to installed back their spring and the shock compression is soften to the setup with oem spring...
Still I have to paid them...Suppose I was quoted RM100 for the tuning and I asked them to make it RM50 since I was a customer that didnt met the setup I wanted...

So I paid...

And now Im on Ladang Bikam R&R going back to IPOh reporting you guys that I am in huge dissapointment with the ride quality which still bumpy and harsh...
I paid almost for 3k and yet I drove the car like riding a horse...
I even ride my friend VIVA with a FAKE D2 and still full of comfort I felt on his car...

Guy can you give your opinoin please...
What is wrong with me or their quality that is USED to be THE BEST among of All Brands of ADJUSTABLE on the MARKETS...

With koni n h&r, i think he not satisfied the gap btw fender n tyre, thats y he proceed to Titan. I got same xperience like TS, for me, i thk Titan only can do performance, stiff absorber. If want comfort, he hav to use original spring to customade by titan. But. Height adjustable is abit problem for titan, they r not really 100% keen to solve customer problem n listen to customer need & wants. I been there >5 times to set my absorber lastime, although its free of charge, still not able to set upto my expectation, thats y i no longer using their products.

I plan to send my van to them to customade front absorber in near future.

Yes you're right bro about the gap between fender n tyres with Koni & H&R...Thats why I choose to get the titan...
How come you get free tuning for 5 times ?
I was only offered 2 times free tuning...
The 3rd round I was quote RM50 even when I disagree with the setup...
:(

Thats y i said they r not 100% in customer expectation. U know,
Its not easy to post anythg -ve about others in forum here, coz this will affect their business/bow of rice in future, but, i still belief in their skill to use oem spring to customade a comfy ride.

I've done my home work for about a year already bro...
The long listed brands was TIEN SPRING > BC RACING > TITAN > RCS

Since the stock shock is out of the life span I choose to get a full setup coilover...
I was looking for BC RACING BR Series and most shop quote me about 3k and need to wait for almost 2 weeks and more...
So I tried my luck asking Titan the price for my car and the price given is a bit cheaper than BC RACING...
Also I've read long ago about Titan from many source of review but Im just dreaming of having it as I thought the price would exceed 3k...
So the the titan is on the list but I tried to get price for RSC and it more than 3k which was already out of my budget...

At last the titan being a top notch of my choice...

oh ok. I'm surprised you rate RCS so low though. They aren't cheap but personally having sat in a RCS-ed Satria, it's good stuff.

Anyway, comfort is very relative, your comfort might be my stiff. So probably would be best to just try the different setups on similar cars before deciding. I went through a lot of suspension myself before ending up with the Improve Hyperflex II (some say it's the same unit as BCRacing, just rebranded) and I personally think it's comfy and all. Parents disagree though. Hehe

I'm a current (n counting) user of Titan on my wira for about 7 yrs now..n in this time I've only had it serviced once s I'm quite happy wiz d set up (tho I'm planning for my 2nd free service soon wiz a diff set up)...like bro izso I went thru 7 suspension changes in a span of 2 yrs n 2 separate visits to Titan before I decided..

IMHO ride characteristics are very subjective...what's stiff for u may be soft to others n vice versa (x get diff ideas aiitttt)...like bro izso said best way is to try diff set ups on diff rides to find what suits u best...better stil if u get same car wiz various set ups..but isn't it basic rule 'good handling sacrifice comfort n good comfort sacrifice handling'?...

i agree with ah wong.. but without feedback, potential buyers will be misinformed.. and end up unsatisfied and don't get what you pay for. :listen:

from my experience... good handling will always need to sacrifice comfort and lowering your ride will always feel more bumpier. Now I am using KYB adjustable. I can turn in any corner fast but the ride feel a bit bumpier.. This is my experience... maybe other sifu can tell you more and give you more ideas.

There is no perfect suspension for cars. Even some journalists openly criticize the state-of-the-art MagneRide, used in Ferrari, Audi, etc
So how la??

Maybe the car should use MagLev....no more wheels....smoooooooooooooooth smooooooooth....:driver:

In recent days it seem they are changing their scope of business. They used to provide foc tuning for 2week after purchase. Mh W is right mainly because he had experience with Titan and graduated from it. Firstly i feel sorry for you. Say that you are to go with BC, is the two week really bother you if the component could satisfy you ?

What i think you should had done was hang out with people that owns similar car with aftermarket coilovers and have a ride on it so that giving you a preview of what feedback and adjust it with your requirement. But being that most oversea brand does not provide tuning unless they have sifu of their own.

I don't buy the idea of others saying which brand is comfy and which is not. Being able to sit in the exact car as mine and gather feedback is what matter most to me before deciding which, because not everyone's butt prefer the same bounce/roll of the car. Feeling it yourself should be prioritize. Then the rest features come into consideration as in tuning, maintenance, specs etc.

Anyway as i know Titan does not produce body shift on their damper right? So how was the ride height done? Through spring?

jazz with 5k front and 3k rear spring still hard and bumpy?

then why not try 4k front with 2k rear?

because being a compact car...normally the rear is very light...it doesnt need high spring rate....and probably with oem springs+high rate damper already quite jittery at the rear....

Hi all, stiff shock is very subjective to everyone. Regarding to this case, IMHO TS can use the helper spring combine with the coilover which said by many people can reduce stiffness of the main spring. Or maybe to support shorter height spring while bumpy. I'm not really sure about that.

I also use the helper spring on my TEIN inside my car. Yes, really satisfy me alot. I not really know about function of the helper spring coz bought the adjustable 2nd hand and originally came with the helper spring and really enjoy my ride.

as a honda jazz owner, i would say u go for hi-lo japanese brands like HKS, cusco or tanabe.
a lot of my friends are using BC racing BC-BR and i could say it is marginally harsh but then again.. the "harshness" is very subjective.

if you are looking at only lowering springs, u should go for eibach. they are better than tein.
u will get an improvement on your ride and somehow retain the comfort.

me2kimi, help you found some info on the use of helper spring it turns out the the helper spring is to let the spring sit snugly in place when the car jack up or when a car goes flying over a ramp like those in rally..maybe
Here's the link.

y not reduce the spring rates? plus these are gas charged absorbers so im pretty sure they cant go as soft at oil charged.. u should have stuck to the original absorbers and changed to eibachs if lowering was all that u wanted..

the springs given by Titan is linear or progressive? i bet it is linear.
changing the rates wouldnt be much help since wheel base is small, car is about 1.1 ton++ and with rear torsion beam definitely made it worst.
