That to me sounds like the car may have gone into "limp mode" or "safe mode" would check the fuel pump/o2 sensor or maybe as someone said it has a big airleak
Try running diagnostic as if its electrical it may have logged a code

or any wire cut off inside...from my experience
wire to plug coil, near the connector cut off..and cause the problem intermittenly
my solution..just by passed the connector

the only way to solve this problem is to check one by one.. sometime is a big issue such as ECU short circuit but sometime it could be simple as loose connector..
