If you're a crotch-rocket fan and depend highly on Shell's motorcycle oils to keep that engine well maintained, then this should pique your interest as Shell Malaysia is in the midst of organising two exciting consumer activities that will run concurrently this year.
<!--more-->First up is the Shell Advance ‘Key to Freedom’ that will seek to reward four loyal customers with a VIP trip to Valencia, Spain for the Spanish MotoGP in November 2012.
That’s not all, because whilst on that trip, the lucky four will also have the opportunity to win a Ducati Monster superbike worth RM60,000!
The three–month long contest will begin in a week’s time from 1<sup>st</sup> June till 31<sup>st</sup> August and is open to customers who purchase a 1.0L pack of Shell Advance Ultra 4T, AX7 4T, AX5 4T, VSX 2T or SX 2T motorcycle oil.
Once you’ve purchased your preferred oil, look out for the a 9-digit unique code inside the front label of each pack that will allow you one chance to enter the Shell Advance ‘Key to Freedom’ contest by answering a simple question via SMS.
Ten contestants will be selected to compete for the four places to Valencia in a ‘live’ challenge to be held in conjunction with the Shell Advance ‘Battle of the Bands’ Finale on 15<sup>th</sup> September, 2012.
The Shell Advance ‘Battle of the Bands’ is the second consumer activity that will run concurrently with the Shell Advance ‘Key to Freedom’ contest and by using the same unique code found on the Shell Advance pack, customers can vote for their favourite up-and-coming local band among the 20 selected by Shell Malaysia to be featured on shelladvance - YouTube.
The 10 bands with the most online votes will battle it out ‘live’ on stage for the crown and First Prize of RM8,000 in the Shell Advance ‘Battle of the Bands’ finale on September 15, 2012.
By voting, customers will also get an additional ‘bonus’ entry in the Shell Advance ‘Key to Freedom’ contest to boost their chances of going to Spain.
According to Ms Seow Lee Ming, Cluster Marketing Manager, Shell Lubricants SEA-South, the Shell Advance ‘Key to Freedom’ contest was aimed at rewarding loyal Shell Advance customers, many of whom depend on their bikes for mobility and to earn a living, with an all-expenses paid holiday of their dreams.
“This year, we are also organising the Shell Advance ‘Battle of the Bands’ for the second time following the tremendous response to the inaugural competition last year. It is a fantastic platform for young local bands to showcase their talent. The theme this year is ‘Hear the Sound, Feel the Freedom’ which is in line with the Shell Advance promise of endowing your motorcycle with responsiveness that you can hear,” she added.
