Any one knows where to find these annoying relay that is located in our engine bay fuse box. running on 4 pins and 20A. The one in my engine starting relay already kaput as I exchange it with my lighting relay it works. (all of the relay in there are of same type) But now my clock display is not displaying after driving a while, which is making me piss off on the relay issue. any ideas how much is it?

Ace, i never buy those, but those relay shall be general product. Bring the sample to spare parts or accesories shop.

Is it the 1? it shall cost few cents to 1-2 ringgit, colour represent the amp.

BS, this is not the one. this is the fuse. relay its usually comes with black tiny box shape with 4 pins. coupe is running all on 20A. My mech try with NAIS brand relay but it won't work. Can't start again right after you warm up the engine. You have to wait till it cool down which is kind of stupid. Later only I found out the said relay is used by PROTON. Looks like our coupe doesn't like different brand parts to be use especially electric components.

Ace, a good engine relay with metal casing is in the region of RM20. Technically should last a life time

Ace, i know this may sound silly, I remember you by-pass the clutch relay, so the clutch sensor issue shall not border you anymore, am I right?

its the 94' model...i believe that is the hyndai alpha engine... basically the original wiring is quite ok...just that the relays are really messy, and some wires are no longer in use, but left there by the previous owner...so any suggestions on where to do the wiring? or perhaps u guys have some better idea on what to do?

blacksamurai,
The pic shown is the whole starter unit. If this one konk, my pocket also konk. I going for the original relay, at least no worries.

EKTony,
I just got my relay and it cost a frigging RM56!!!. damn..but at least it works now. Right after that, another problem came out. My clock display went disapper every time the engine start warming up or after 5 mins. When it cool down it came right back? this is getting weird. Perhaps there is one more relay that I haven't change and it still using the NAIS brand. Probably I will change it to some more reliable brand. Definately not going for the original relay.
