If they have a flow bench test before and after porting and polishing, that'll be great. Not that i don't know about flow benching, just wanna make sure only. Its ridiculous to send the head for headworks without supporting evidence of any gains.:stupid:
Anyway, intake port needs to have some rough edges so that air velocity becomes slightly turbulent and increased air velocity to allow proper air fuel mixture but that also depends on how you design the bowl and throat angle as well.
Exhaust port needs to be polished so that hot air is expelled faster as the polished surface reduces chances of soot deposits ( it won't stay polished after a few km but atleast its better than OEM). And might as well polished the combustion chamber to mirror finish so you are more knock resistance and changed to JE forged piston.
In addition, you'll need to port match the exhaust manifold and intake manifold to the ported head.
