pdguy,

Yes it is best to protect your car paint when its still new.
however if u wish to polish your car, please make sure u apply coating or protection over the paint after polishing. Polishing WILL remove/damage any coating on the paint.

Currently there r quite a number for products for paint protection. u can search the forum for the details of the products. There's waxing, silicones, teflon, bla bla bla, yadaa yadaa yadaa...

*Butter cookies ... anyone ? :proud:

Try the FEATHERLITE Quick Shine ( RM 34.90 only ) from USA. It's a liquid mist spray. It shines as it take away water marks and oily finger prints.Besides, the job is super easy to accomplish.

as far as was is concern, polymer sealant is just another synthetic wax.

most importantly, always have synthetic wax as the 1st later and layer natural on top of it as synthetic wax mostly have cleaning agents where as natural wax like carnauba wax is just pure wax with no cleaning properties.

What i recommended is using the good car wash shampoo such as turtle wax
- to prevent wash out your wax or faded u paint top layer(PH NEUTRAL).
Use ICE LIQUID CLAY BAR TURTLE WAX
Then second clay your car to remove containment at your first layer paint such as tree sap bird shit, and most important swirl

LAST STEP
using ICE paste wax. after this all step show you car will be shine as diamond:biggrin:

reapply every 3 month to ensure your car paint is protected and shine
