drove my 180sx at 1pm today.. it was damn hot (as it has been for the past few weeks..).. my right foot was a wee bit heavy (juz around 120-130km/h) and suddenly i realized the water temp going close to the redzone (close but not quite).. stopped at a gas station, filled up wif gas (sbb almost kering hehe), waited a bit and then went off again.. luckily no overheating..

happened a few times since i got the car..

here's the spec of the 180sx

93 b/top sr20det
oil cooler
vr4rs i/c wif ss piping
greddy airinx air filter
blitz blow off
tial (thailand mebbe..) wastegate
auto tranny
mileage close to 160k

juz changed the engine oil (600kms ago).. no leaks from radiator, hoses etc..

got no boost, oil temp/pres, exh meters.. currently not sure of how high i'm boosting (but the prev. owner estimates around 0.8bar done at M's garage.. and that was before i put in the vr4rs i/c n the greddy airinx)..

y did the water temp go so high up? does that mean it was close to overheating?

probably due to overboosting? temp of the environ?

whut should i do to solve this prob? put in a boost controller? bigger i/c?

thanks for ur opinions..

thermalstat problem? radiator clogged? or i/c blocking the whole radiator and fan is getting weak? :)
