Dear all guru's and si-fu's...

Your wisdom its in need for the following dilemma..

1st pair of 17"x7.5, offset 48
2nd pair of 17"x7.5, offset 40
Car : FD2 non R

1) Should I add in 10mm spacer for difference?
2) If no need, how should I fit into the vehicle? 40 for the back?
3) Your wisdom and guidance it's very much appreciated.. :adore::adore:

How did you get rims with different offset?

For me, FWD will have wider front track so I will fit the offset 48 in the front and 40 in the rear.
If the difference is still too great then add spacer, but I personally do not like spacers unless you can got good fitting ones with center cone built in.

Oh! if you add 10mm spacer then the offset 48 will become 38 which might pop out of the wheel arch with tyres

Thnx mate for your input!

Long story how I end up with both pair of rims..

I thought of getting 10mm to gab the difference between 40 and 48.. Which means the 10mm spacer its for the 40mm offset at the rear.. It's my action decrease or increase the 40mm?

Ok, I think you got it mixed up. You are talking about positive offset, right? and that is offset 40 and 48.
For positive offset the larger the number the further in the rim, means when you fit your pair of rims of offset 40 and 48, the 40 will be further out. Adding 10mm spacer to the offset 40 makes that an offset 30 and not 50. If you were to add the spacer it will be to the rims that is offset 48, so it will become 38 which will be closer to the 40.

Like I mentioned before try out without spacer, for FWD fit the 48 in front and 40 to the rear. If not good and need spacer, then fit 40 to the front and spacer with 48 to the rear. Try not to use spacer with the drive wheels....:burnout:

id forget about the spacers or wat not and fir the +40 up in front and the +48 in the rear since ur car is FF

the wider front wheel track will help to reduce understeer in corners...and if executed properly... looks damn badass
