Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia have just launched the Lancer 2.0 GT CBU from Japan with a properly amazing price of RM115,980 OTR!

With an impressive spec sheet and a price tag that seriously undercuts the competition, especially its direct competitor the Honda Civic, the Mitsubishi Lancer 2.0 GT is a fantastic proposition for Malaysia buyers. Definitely makes the CKD Civic look overpriced to hell.

Looks pretty good as well!

the plus site:

CBU!, the price (As compared to civic)
it has paddle shift (F1 style), cvt..155 bhp and 199 Nm torque at only 4250rpm!
18" rims (impressive)..
the engine is similar to toyota dual vvti..

In fact it makes the CKD Civic's price tag look ridiculous.

They should, I mean it makes them look like greedy businessmen trying to increase their margins with inflated prices, especially considering the Altis is relatively stone age in comparison and badly needing a replacement. The Civic could claim to have better service coverage nationwide but still the price difference is significant compared to the Lancer. I'm thinking if part of Mitsubishi's service network is near you, it would be a no brainer to go for the Lancer.

The Sentra is already in the 80k territory and shouldn't be directly affected me thinks. But the Latio, especially the high spec ones could be affected. One would certainly be tempted to top up the difference and go for the bigger car.

omg... look at the price tag and it's CBU??? owh man... if the prices of civic, latio, altis, and ford focus are not revised... looks like this car is the only winner in term of quality and price...

Oh yeah...how can I forget the Focus. Its properly fucked as well. Sales weren't so hot to begin with.

BTW, there's a hotter Lancer in the works, placed below the Evo X, rivalling the Scooby WRX. That means a turbocharged 2.0 litre engine making about 220 - 240bhp (guessing) with AWD to boot. I'm guessing if Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia is wise and kind enough to bring it in, it'll cost around 200+k and give the new CTR something to think about.

Dear guys,

Apologies if there is already a thread on this..but out of curiosity as the titles goes..:adore:

Am currently using a 2.3 inch diametre piping from the extractor straight out towards the muffler with no bullet..and have been using this setup for the past 2 years..but i noticed there's a slight decline in throttle response compared to a 2 inch piping setup that i used to have earlier...

Is it normal?..or is my current diameter is too big?..some of my colleague with similar...
