The IGNITION.MY-RCA SPEED CHALLENGE SERIES was created to provide the real-life excitement of console-game racing simulations such as Gran Turismo and Forza Motorsports!

Targeted at tuned Street-spec cars and run in a format just like in the games, we offer the opportunity to bring your hopped-up ride to the circuit and run a 3-lap Time Challenge in heats of 8 cars at a time!

Co-organiser Adian Yein of Ignition.my says, “Every other marketing industry places heavy emphasis on the ‘Playstation-Generation’, so the time is ripe that Motorsports embraces the culture too, and maximises the entertainment value for this age group. Almost all car-enthusiasts below 40 know what Gran Turismo is all about, so let’s take that excitement is bring it to life!”

“Just like any other sub-culture, the street-racers are misunderstood. They’re grew up racing modified street cars on the computer, and have now grown up and seek a playground. We’re providing it, and hope that they can make the next step to proper circuit and rally racing from here on.”

Organised in a League-table, best-4 times from Heat 1 will run again with cars with the best-4 times from Heat 2, and vice-versa, culminating in a Final Heat comprising of the drivers that set the best-8 times during the preliminary heats.

Round 1 will be held at Sepang International Circuit on 26 Sept 2010!

Gran Turismo comes to life at Sepang this 26 Sept!

Random Post Every 5 Minutes

I was browsing through the Pivot website earlier today and as I was
looking @ the Stepping Gauge section, I got curious about something.

1) Why is there a need to install such a meter in a car? The car already
comes with a RPM meter. What difference does this Pivot meter make? Why
do cars need to install things like Boost Meter, Speed Meter, Tachometer
and Shift Lamps?

2) Are such lamps only installed for Manual Transmission cars? or do
people actually install in on...
