Hi guys, I own a 6 years old previous generation Honda city

Im hearing a soft scraping / grinding noise when I accelerate

It will be between 35km/hr to 40km/hr

Other than that I don't hear the sound

Aside the sound, there will be light vibration felt on the pedal / steering

What'sthe problem?

That's a bit hard to diagnose. Tyre problem, bent rim, bearing problem, bushing problem, alternator pulley, crank pulley, gearbox, etc... too much possibility

Hard to say. Sometimes when the problem is just surfacing it only pops up initially at certain speeds, as it gets worse it starts to affect more.

Does the problem happen only during cold start or anytime the car moves at that speed?

it's anytime the car moves @ that speed
sometimes its softer sometimes its louder

i would describe it as a grinding sound which i would say is somewhere near the front wheel ...

and as of now i can only hear it on the left front wheel

Try checking the disc rotor first, Mostly likely as disc rotor always in contact with the pads, so if pads are binding can have grinding sound.

This is pretty tough to diagnose. I would suggest jacking up the car front and put the car in neutral. Then manually turn the wheels yourself and listen for obvious metal to metal contact or whatever. If you hear it then it's likely either the wheel bearing, driveshaft or if you're lucky, just the rotor (brake disc). If you don't hear anything meaning the sound only comes when it's under load (car weight), then it's more likely to be the wheel bearing.

But that's just speculation and nothing I can do without looking at the car first.

It might be because of wearing of brake pads and rotors. Vibration in vehicle is due of below mentioned reasons:-
Tyres & wheels.
Brakes.
Suspension & steering components.
Driveshaft (FWD) / Propeller shaft (RWD).
Engine.
It will be better to consult auto mechanic.

The Golf R already makes a pretty hefty 270hp at all four wheels, that is a lot for a car the size of the Golf but in the wild pursuit of horsepower, there is no such thing as enough. Enter German tuning specialist B&B, for these guys 270hp is considered puny and that's why they are offering engine mods in different stages, three to be exact.<!--more-->...
