Hi guys, need some advice urgently.

I've been having gearbox problem since 2yrs ago. Now the problem is worsening.

==> Every morning when i cold start my car, there is delay in 1st gear (D-mode), have to press the oil pedal for 10 to 20secs then the car only will move.

No problem in subsequent start as long as the engine is still running hot.

Start from yesterday, can hear "cracking noise" Tik Tlak Tik Tlakk (irregularly) when the car start to move from cold start.

1. Which toyota service center (with good reputation & expertise) should i go? (PJ/KL area).

2. Should i get halfcut gearbox?

3. Should i send it to "gearbox specialist" to rebuild gearbox as advertise in Motor Trader?

Toyota UMW, go to the one in Segambut, so far so good for me. Maybe have them check it out to see what is the main problem.

yes, auto oil and filter changed.
Try to switch to another brand of ATF since it has difficulty to work up to temperature during cold start. Do the trial and error first before you go to SC, so that you won't get cut throat like others.

Have you been flooring your pedal and trashing the gearbox?
How bout trying a bottle of Lubegard? Many good reviews about this additive.

yes...lubegard really good...especially the ATF protectant...my car AT works wonderful with it but depends on the gearbox condition...if the gearbox got problemo, not worth to give it a try...just send it straight to repair or change it....

It's not the most Emmy award winning video we've ever seen, but Russel Han and Ernest Freezo deserve a pat on the back each for their first effort at filming, especially when it's about TIMETOATTACK. Plus, it's a good entree prior to the long-awaiting premiere of our very own official video. In this video of Russel and Ernest, they've taken a different approch. The Fun...
