My head screw broke. The one near the spark plugs. I don't know how it happened but only 1 broke. And my engine oil is leaking through the broken screw.

Is it an easy fix?

Plus, I'm now in my hometown. I am going back today. Is it ok for to drive for about 3 hours and get it done tomorrow? The leak is not that bad. Its just that there is oil coming out from the screw area.

Please advice.

Thank you.

Or is it the head valve cover screw that broke? You can see it when you open up the spark plug cover. Btw, it's a B16 head.

yea, get it fix 1st before you going back, the leak is going bad as you revving.... it is an easy job, i diy last time, u need is 10mm and 12 or 14mm spanner... it is bit tight to open, but make sure open gently, if it broke again at the down side, it will become big repair...and after replace new bolt, when screw tight the valve cover, dont tighten it very hard, from web, the torque is like 14-17nm only...if not, it will easy break again

make it repaired 1st, cause as u rev up, the more it will leak... diy it self since i can diy i think u can too, just need 10,12 and 14mm spanners...the bolt is tightly screwed in the head, untighten gently if not, if it broke at the down parts, it causes major repair....after tighten in new screw, install back the head cover, but tighten gently too, if not it easy break again, on the web, tightening torque is bout 14-17nm only

I managed to drive back yesterday. I checked every a few times throughout the journey. Not much of oil leaked.

Here are the pics. It's not the head screw. My bad. Hahaha

I will be getting it done tomorrow. Is it an expensive fix? I'm not really a DIY guy. So, I will be sending to my regular guy.
