You can just tell them your car already equip with HID original. Most of them don't know the spec of coupe.

HID is designed in Germany but manufacturer in Taiwan.

JPJ, you can ask yen and cow did JPJ stop them? Some even though that RD1 is new car release by Hyundai recently. Hoho.

But if they stop you and ask you open the engine hood, still they can tell the original fitted and after market conversion kits.

I think if your color is 4300K - 6000K then they might not ask you to open the hood and all cause OEM HIDs come in that color range. If 8000K and above which is blue-ish to purple then they might because those are obviously not OEM colors.

just my thought.

But if they do ask me to pop the hood, then they can see that it is aftermarket because the ballast is i plain sight. OEM ones usually have the ballast hidden under the headlights or somewhere in the front bumper.

I hid the ballast within the wheel well before, but there somehow water managed to get in and fried the ballast. So now I just leave it in the engine bay :P
