if you don't mind, my setup is not so comfortable.
and I don't know where in Ipoh that can test..
as far as I know, the road condition in Ipoh is kinda poor.. always humps-ing around..

0.7 bar is not so bad. What is your max boost supposed to be?

I'm fine with with stiff suspension setup. Last time I ride before in B18C EG and the suspension is very stiff. But it is still okay for me.

The main road in front of pengkalan barat old town is long enough. For short acceleration is okay. If drive too fast then it will might be a bit dangerous. Not sure how fast you do you mean by test.

yeah, it is indeed a common problem.

mine also broke twice. Try high temp spray to protect the manifold?

Maybe its encouraging you to use banana?

must keep the legacy of untouched car...alredy in classic car category worrrr...

Got blow valve and boost meter installed, unless get them removed to be classic, and the rims too with low profile tyres, must go back steel rims and 195/70R14.....hhahahahhahahahha

i felt anything more than 300 horse, is already horrible..
too much power, uncontrollable..
difficult to maintain
spent most of the time in garage repairing or worst, trying to find out the cause..

don't you forget, it took me like 3 years to find out what is stopping the boost..

for stock 4g63t, the max can go up to 1.4 bar, around this range.
for safety, 1 bar is the safety level.
my engine for now, is 1 bar max as everything is stock and original.

If yours is Evo 3, then stock will have 270hp already. That is already a lot of power for a street car.

Dark area near petrol kiosk? Is it like the nearby industrial area with factories? Roads can be bumpy if it is at the industrial area.

Bcos today manage to open up exhaust heat shield.
Not easy tho, bolts rust. 2 days bath wd40.
Stock manifold cover by rust. Just brush it, n fix back. Cast iron.
Thats why I wonder, uncle VR mention manifold crack. Bolts snapped.

195/70/14 tyre is like stock Toyota Unser tyres.

VR 15" is 205/60/15 like original Evo 2 and 3 wheels? But they are running 4WD, got more traction. If 2WD, 205/60/15 might not be enough for grip?

Heard about that before. These Lancer CB chassis came with 14 inch wheels even for GSR and MR (MIVEC). Same goes for Mirage Cyborg R. I think their tyres are 195/55/14. Only Evo came with 15 inch.
