Indian tycoon Vijay Mallya is the new owner of the F1 Spyker team, together with his alliance Michiel and Jan Mol, they will pay 110 million us dollars to the Board of Spyker Cars N.V. and the settlement is expected within 30 days after being granted the exclusive deal.

The dutch based F1 racing team is expected to have a new name, many speculates Orange India, as what the joint consortium is being named. The purchase of Spyker is under Vijay's personal financing while Kingfisher airline will continue financing the Williams.

Vijay's vision is to bring more Indian drivers to the F1 ring, He quoted, "We have drivers, we have Narain Karthikeyan, we have Karun Chandok and I hope there will be more as we go along."
