D1 GRAND PRIX ALL-STAR WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP 2007 @ IRWINDALE SPEEDWAY, 24-25 NOVEMBER.

Once again, Team Bridgestone Malaysia represented by T.Djan will be participating in the WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP of DRIFTING.

This is an "All Invitation Only Event" and we are proud to represent MALAYSIA & S.E.A making it the 2nd time in history.

Team Bridgestone Malaysia's objective would be to improve on our 5th Place World Ranking Status of 2006.

We will be competing with our trusted AE86 which has undergone extensive modifications to further enhance the performance of the vehicle based on knowledge aquired @ Irwindale last year.

PRESS RELEASE:

Tengku Djan, with full support from Bridgestone Tyres (M), Motorsports Malaysia & Lejadi Group, will be representing Malaysia in the D1 Grand Prix World Championship in California, USA.

The D1 Grand Prix All-Star World Championship is the most anticipated drifting competition of the year as it features the top drivers from up to six different countries and produces the most intense and dramatic battles of the year.

This invitation only event in search of the best drifter in the world takes place in the “House of Drift” @ Irwindale Speedway, in California, USA, on the 24th and 25th of Nov 2007.

This invitation was extended to Tengku Djan, winner of the D1GP Malaysia Series Championship 2006, represented Malaysia in the D1GP World Championship 2006.

Last year, Tengku Djan finished 5th in the world! He is the highest-ranking non-Japanese and earned himself the nickname “Tandem Assassin” from his US fans at the D1GP All Star World Championship 2006.

Tengku Djan is set to compete again in the D1GP World Championship this November and will once again represent Malaysia, aiming for a podium finish in this predominantly Japanese conquered Sport.

Great drifting from Tengku Djan aka Tandem Assasin!! Nice and aggressive...

But, maybe the Hachiroku is starting to show its age againts more powerful and modern machines.... would considering an upgrade in car be on the cards??

tdl lost to kuma in best 8..if the diff dont kong..tdl will go to semifinal..anyway
