Traffic jams are one of the worst nightmares for a driver to be stuck in, which the streets of New York hold one of the worst as it is among the five cities in the States with the worst rush hour traffic congestion. While the authorities could not do much on the endless sea of cars clogging up the roads, they could do something to those that park illegally on the roadsides. However, some drivers are just not willing to cooperate with the law enforcers which force them to take out their wild side.
Ferrari 458 Spider Runs Over Cop - YouTube
This footage takes us to New York City, where youtuber Damrys7 was walking around Soho and saw a Ferrari 458 Spider parked at the side of the road accompanied by a cop who was writing a ticket for it; presumably for parking at a no-park zone. As he starts to record the situation, the owner walks into the Ferrari and attempted to drive away as he refuses to accept the ticket, explained by Damrys7 that the ticket was unnecessary since the Ferrari was parked in a hotel’s valet zone.
<a href="http://www.zerotohundred.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/458cop_2.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-35210" src="http://www.zerotohundred.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/458cop_2.jpg" alt="" width="600" height="338" /></a>
But the cop kept on writing the ticket and as for the driver, being determined that his parked Ferrari did nothing wrong, continued to drive forward. To prevent the driver from escaping, the cop had positioned himself very near to the Ferrari, which what was going to happen in the next few seconds suggests that he had put his foot in front of the left front tire. As the Ferrari moved for a few more inches ahead, the cop suddenly slams the window of the Ferrari and proceeded to open the driver’s door. And almost like a scene of a Hollywood movie, the cop forcefully pulled the driver out of the car and throwing him on the ground with the help of one of his colleagues, which he was cuffed and arrested shortly after.
While at a glance this might be just a straight forward case, there are a lot of chatter suggesting otherwise. Firstly, it is the valet parking zone. While from the video, we might not be able to tell whether this is true or not; but if it is, why did the cop gave out the ticket anyways? Some said the ticket was not for the parking violation, but for failing to display proper registration as there were none visible at the front bumper of the Ferrari. Then, did the cop’s foot really get run over? Again, there are accounts stating otherwise, but the video did not provide an angle to prove what had really happened.
Anyways, this must have been the most shameful moment for the driver not only for the dramatic arrest, but also for being recorded in full HD with a youtuber armed with a Canon 7D.
