The Citroen DS3 Racing has finally been unveiled in final production form and is ready to make the hot hatch segment its own.

Effectively a DS3 DSport on steroids, the DS3 Racing was brought to life by the wizards at Citroen’s Racing division, the same blokes behind the firm’s phenomenal success with their WRC cars.

While the DS3 DSport coughed out 150hp from its 1.6THP engine, the DS3 Racing betters that with a proper hot hatch-like 207hp from the same 1.6 THP engine, albeit in a different level of tune. Torque too has been bumped up to 275Nm to give the car a century dash time of a respectable 6.5-seconds and a top speed that stands at 235km/h. Citroen even mentioned that the standing kilometer can be dispatched with in 26.5-seconds.

Not only did the engine receive some tweaks but the chassis and handling department probably benefited from the most touch-ups. New dampers will no doubt make cornering grin-inducing but also improves the car’s stance by dropping it 15mm.

The front and rear tracks have also been widened by 30mm to increase stability. A recalibrated ESP that probably allows for more driver involvement before snapping on the cuffs and four pot calipers complete the handling upgrades. Sitting on all four corners are 18-inch wheels shod in beefy tyres for more grip.

Keeping it looking sharp is a new bodykit that goes crazy with the carbon fiber bits. The rear diffuser, front bumper, side rubbing strips and wheel arch extensions are all made from the weavy stuff.

On the interior, semi-bucket seats hold you in place while sniping out corners and faux carbon fiber trim adorns the dash.

If you’re fantasizing on what colour you’d like your DS3 Racing in, there’s only two schemes to pick from. The first one is a black with orange roof and the other is a white with the roof in carbon grey. For both schemes, the roof colour is matched with the alloy wheels, door mirrors, chevrons, grille surround, tailgate spoiler and dashboard trim.

Now for the downside, only 1,000 of these tarmac scorchers will be built with probably near to none making their way to our shores when deliveries kick off early next year.

I have seen rear lights of many cars being converted to crystal LED or crystal non LED lights.

Looks good especially with the crystal diamond effects....

I believe some are from Taiwan some from China...

Has anyone changed before?

Any problem with it?

Will the crystal colours fade over time?:dontknow:
