Hi bros,

Went to this car service, feels he overdo for me.Just an Iswara
Can I ask if someone does the following for your car check?Did he overdo?

Change engine oil and oil filter
Check your air filter,if black colour will ask for change, else just use air gun to spray some dust out
Check for water level and rust at radiator
Check for water level at windscreen water spray tank
Wipes the engine bay area and spray with air gun to clear some dust
Starts engine and check for engine idling stability with air cond on and off
Checks to see if engine temperature are constant and the radiator fan runs normally
Check and fills every tire for correct air pressure
Check for tire thread
Check for brake pads for the thickness
Check for signs of wheel links for tear and wear at bushes
Checks for visual oil leaking at engine bay
Checks for all lights to make sure it is working condition

Honestly i feel that it is a bit over doing
For the many times i send my car there,he never fails to do the complete checklist
I admit it makes me feel safer but a bit too long time to service
What do you guys think?
By the way the service shop is in KL
Name is Excellence Auto Services
If you guys wanna go check it out.
search for its name in foursquare or look for pasar besar gombak(its oppsite)

Check my receipt to see if the price is overkill...

Thanks

Honestly I feel every mechanic should do this. It will be very helpful for people who doesnt know much about cars especially women. At least he can inform you if there is anything that is going to go wrong.

Doesn't matter whether it is an Iswara or a Aventador, you should be happy that you have found yourself a responsible workshop. Being safe is always better than sorry, the mechanic is ensuring that you are safe on the road. Otherwise he could have just change whatever you instruct him to do and that's it, off goes your car. I would not use the word overdo, instead it is a BONUS for you :)

Overdo or not depends on how much you paid the shop! If still cheap, then surely it's not overdone but if the shop charged expensive, then yeah it's overdone!

This is the 1st time I see people complain that they do a thorough check, usually is the other way round and ppl are dying to get such workshops that have responsibility to care for customers car.

Some you just tell them what to do, they just do what they were told. Not until I tell them to check every single thing for me. They could have just done what necessary and don't bother to check your car for u and let you go. Since is actually consuming their time and not yours exactly.

They let u go off fast, then they can do other cars faster than to spend his own sweet time to check your car thoroughly. Should be thankful that you get such a mechanic/workshop.

Unless like they said, they charge u higher for all those BONUSES.

This is the kinda thing I do whenever I service my own car. This kinda thing makes your car safe on the road. Ok mah! But it shouldn't be expensive since most of these things can be done on your own!

every workshop should practice that, some calls it free 16point checks.
my mechanic does that for my car, even top up power steering fluid, brake fluid, battery water without additional charges. he even
told me before I go outstation, bring my car to his workshop for him to check before starting my journey, there are certain wear & tear parts required to be changed but its up to me to decide, if its not critical then will just postpone the change to next month.

At least your mechanic checked everything for you to prevent anything from breaking down halfway when you are driving. That could be dangerous. Since Iswara is not exactly a new car anymore, it is good to get things checked thoroughly from time to time.

Ok what. The oil is a bit on the high side but that's the cost of Eneos oil to begin with. All in I think it's ok. Not exactly cheap but ok.
