Kindly elaborate. What other brands are we talking about?

As for customed setups, one must know beforehand EXACTLY what he wants. What does he wants that requires customization? Or to be more specific, what do YOU require that necessitates customization?

If one can buy from the departmental store, a pair of trousers that fits perfectly, would there still a need to visit the tailor for a custom made one from the same cloth? Farouk from F-Tuned used to be Ride & Handling Engineer (Group Leader) at Proton Research & Development, Chassis Engineering Section. Would be fair to assume he's intimately familiar with my car type (Proton Wira)

You can find information about pricing from their FB page > https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.794557920581305.1073742001.209466972423739&type=3

What i mean is those of the shelf HLHS brand. Like KW, Bilstein, H&R, etc. Im sure they also have HLHS.

Do you mean imported stuff? In this case, I prefer local for a few reasons.

* Imported stuff for the same goods would be relatively more expensive. If local stuff can deliver same quality, why not? For local players to grow, they need our support.

* I believe local will provide proper after sales support should I require it later. At the very least, the seller can't tell me the factory is not in this country.

That is if the local guys are taking their product seriously. There are also those who just want to produce and sell to make a profit only....:banghead:
I was lucky to try out the first few "top perfect" absorbers, of course now called HWL. It was fitted to my then Wira. As you know the Wira have very poor and soft rear suspension. Met the boss, that time small scale and pushing his products himself, going round workshops etc. He happened to visit my mechanic shop and my mechanic knowing my problem and what I wanted, he made an oil shocks with 25% more damping. Free trial for one week and if I don't like it, he will pay my mechanic to remove it. Well, if worked perfectly. Funny thing is I change the absorbers only and not the springs and yet it could hole 5 people load without problems......:hmmmm:

I guess you can call it import. Since the dealer/distributor bring it in. But now prices i noticed has been quite competitive. There are some branded ones like Blistein, going for only RM2k.

So i guess what im trying to say here is, what is the difference in terms of performance if you are going to a custom suspension shop to get a HLHS, compared to just buying one off the shelf also HLHS......

But RCS seems pretty good though. I might visit them when im ready to do up my handling.

Firstly welcome to ZTH forum.

Secondly you do not cut the springs to lower a car, you change the springs to shorter ones, or change to those hi/lo suspension kit.
Cutting the springs, your springs will loose the tension required....
Agreed, dont cut but buy a lowering spring.a chopped spring might jump out from the mounting position during hard rebound and one might loses steering as the absorber is jammed.

on the chambering,i believe most tire shop can do it.

i am guessing TS is going for the super 'kangkang' look which is all show.

Sorry guys, I forgot that I started this thread, hehe sorry

btw, thanks for your responses, but the problem is, is there any lowering spring for my car? my car is Mercedes Benz W123 1985, I am pretty sure that normal workshop wouldnt have it for my Mercedes.

Thats why i ask where is the workshop to customized suspension or spring? hehe
And I know that cut spring is gonna be sucks, but I am planning to use other type of mercedes spring that harden than my stock spring and cut it.

if you are going to use other mercedes springs to harden your car compared to stock springs, you can always do it at any tire shops by cutting the coils although this is not i would recommend you to do.

i would suggest you to buy online for the springs of your mercedes. Try getting the Eibach lowering springs through online source.:smokin:
