I came accross this Arospeed Engine Damper in this month HyperTune Magazine, so far i think only GTR have this thing on their stock car, what about other car, anybody use this before? They say this Damper will make the car more responsive and less vibration!!!

I am also curious about this product too. I heard it has 2 settings, one for hard and one for soft. May I know which setting is preferable?

How much is this thingy?

i do think it does work... the more responsive part...
bcoz when my engine mountings were dead my car felt really sluggish
after changing all new mountings the car felt so draggable
*shrugs*

I think to a certain extend, it does have it's function and as mentioned it comes with two settings, hard and softer (I guess), I'm quite interested to install one too as they are not too expensive and will act as a nice dress up part.. :D

Think it will work in most cars, and should it not then perhaps a little modification could be fabricated to mount them... :D

Cost wise, I'm not too sure, guess it's in the region of RM280plus without installation... :D

One of the reason I wanna install is to help prolong the life of my engine mountings . By installing this damper/shocks for the engine, it will help absorb some shock/movement and give less stress to the engine mountings.

But if the cost is too high..then maybe not worth it.

hi...
a fren of mine put it in his car
rock solid but after a while he says he can even hear every squeak fm his engine bay(all the noise fm the engine is transfered to the interior) coz almost no free play. but accelerating wise is good. helps prolong ur mountings but a bit pricey

ManofWar, ask your fren if his setting was hard or soft? Because if hard, then yeah.. it doesn't absorb as much and tranfer the vibration to the chasis.

bought one for my car yesterday.... cos engine tends to be a lil bit more shakier when idling due to upgraded cams.....
one of the given bracket has to be customize due to me using the transparent timing belt cover (which is slightly bulkier causes the given bracket touching it)
just making the bracket mounting a lil far seems to solve the prob.... only mm of difference

updates on it will be shared later guys B)
