Review:-

I am new to the car detailing world, and owning my own 2000 Mercury Grand Marquis, the car is in pretty good shape, as it was a Sunday driver before I bought it. Despite the nice care the car was given, the interior of it showed signs of slight discoloration and the dash felt gritty. I was given this product by a friend and tried it in a small area to see if it works.

I followed the instructions by spraying it into a clean microfiber towel, then giving a moderate run onto the wood grain trim finish. I used a dry side of the towel after 15 seconds to wipe it off, and it left a nice shiny and soft feeling to the once gritty dash trim. Being so happy with these results, I decided to try out the rest of the dash. The light tan dash cowl + vinyl door covers and steering wheel were treated with this. It took some elbow grease, as the stuff is a little thick. But once you rub it on, it leaves a thin coat of protection and makes the interior look brand new. I even tried it on plastic, and it took some of the blemish of the black plastic parts away and equalized the color with a slight gloss.

The best part is that this stuff doesn't feel tacky like the Armor All that I used to spray. Armor All gives a uncomfortable feeling to the interior + leaves a tacky appearance. This stuff dries out completely and almost looks like you waxed your interior (even though vinyl can't really get waxed).

I highly recommend it if you are looking to revitalize the interior of your car, especially if you have lots of plastic and vinyl parts that have small scratches and blemishes!

Use it on clear coat or single stage paint with excellent results. 3M Scratch Remover uses fine minerals to actually remove the scratch, rather than filling it in. All you’ll see is smooth, flawless paint!

3M Scratch Remover removes grade 1200 or finer sand scratches, other fine scratches, medium oxidation, coarse swirl marks or water spots, and leaves a fine finish. 3M Scratch Remover is excellent for hand compounding applications.

3M Scratch Remover is a thick cream packed with ultra fine abrasive minerals. As you rub the cream over the blemish, these minerals level the edges of scratches and swirls to render them invisible. 3M Scratch Remover contains no fillers so you can see the real results of your work. Follow up with 3M Performance Finish to seal in the shine.

To apply with a polisher:
Apply two or three lines of 3M Scratch Remover to the paint. This should be enough to cover a 2 x 2 sq. ft. area.
Work the polish using a light compounding pad (CCS Orange or Edge Orange) on your polisher. Polish until 3M Scratch Remover turns into a thin film.
Buff off residue with a soft microfiber bonnet over a lambswool pad on your polisher. You can also buff by hand with a Microfiber Detailing Cloth.
To apply by hand:
Apply a quarter size amount of 3M Scratch Remover to a foam applicator pad.
Rub in a circular motion until the polish dries.
Buff off the residue using a Microfiber Detailing Cloth.
