2019 Vios launched today, comes from new Malaysian manufacturing facility



After a recent introduction at KLIMS last Nov, UMW Toyota, the official distributor of Toyota vehicles finally launched the all new 2019 Vios today in Kuala Lumpur. This is also the first model to roll out from UMW Toyota's manufacturing plant at Kasasan Perindustrian Bukit Raja in Klang, Selangor.



What's New:

What's worth mentioning on the inside of every new Toyota Vios are the improved insulation, new automatic air con system, redesigned dash, Instrument cluster, center console box, additional USB charging ports, rear occupant cabin lights, new and improved storage spaces and of course new seats and upholstery. As for the higher specced 1.5G Vios, it will get paddle shifters, 16" wheels by default and the Optitron meter with multi information display and DVD-AVX infotainment system with USB mirroring



All variants are now safer than ever before with no less than 7 SRS airbags, Vehicle Stability Control, Hill Start Assist and more importantly, a 5 star rating at the ASEAN NCAP crash test



Additional Standard Equipment:

What used to be only available on larger Toyota models are now offered in all Vios such as leather upholstery, electrochromic rear-view mirror and a Drive Mode switch. Safety is further enhanced with a Blind Spot Monitor, Panoramic View Monitor, Front Digital Video Recorder and Rear Cross Traffic Alert.





Prices and Availability:

The all new Vios comes with a 5 year warranty with unlimited mileage and a free 24SEVEN 24hr Road Assistance membership for the first year. It will also be available for viewing and test drives throughout Malaysia today onwards.

Base 1.5J: RM77,200 OTR
Mid 1.5E: RM81,200 OTR
Top: 1.5G: RM87,300 OTR

“This is the future of Toyota production in Malaysia,” Mr. Takeyama added. “The plant is highly automated to ensure high quality vehicles are produced with better efficiency. Many local engineers and technicians were sent to Japan to undergo production training to upgrade their skills to perform at their best at the new plant.”

Wow....finally a Vios that does not 'cheat' buyer with ridiculus price. I never thought this will happen.


They are brave to milk buyers dry even when they already notice Honda is overtaking them by selling crap cars at not so crap price. Once they kennot tahan only the transform their hot model. Very risky marketing strategy if that is what they are planning.
