went to one of my scheduled roadshows recently and got some pics of the new Hyundai Elantra 1.8. Not much info but the images itself is pretty informative. Cheers.

4530 mm long
1775 mm wide
1435 mm tall
2700 mm wheelbase (*contributing to 18 litres more interior room, which is larger than a Civic but closely match with Cruze)
MacPherson strut front suspension and a torsion beam rear suspension
disc brakes all-round
electric power steering
fluidic design bodyparts allowed for low drag coefficient of 0.28
1.8-litre Nu MPI engine, four-cylinder with Dual Continuously Variable Valve Timing (D-CVVT) and Variable Induction System (VIS) = 150 HP at 6500 rpm and 178 Nm at 4700 rpm
6-speed auto gearbox

(*statement was sourced from: 2012 All-New Hyundai Elantra Revealed In Details Before Launch In Malaysia | LIVE LIFE DRIVE)

for the rest of the missing info, either someone share here or just contact Sime Darby Auto Connection.

The Mines
design is really nice and good form flow....

preve torque higher..but since this sonata use normal autobox...so power delivery feel should be more solid than cvt...leather looks ok from picture....but door panel.... too much plastic? :hmmmm: dashboard design also ok from picture..like preve also ok....nothing to shout....but really the outer appearance looks better.. :adore:

Can Trade In or Not? for Elantra and Sonata

---------- Post added at 12:20 PM ---------- 6 hour anti-bump limit - Previous post was at 12:17 PM ----------

tested both. engine wise. i choose preve. everything else. elantra. :)

I prefer the Preve for cornering, unfortunately Preve is one of the worst in noise especially sitting at the back! The premium test car had some rattles!
Quality wise, I choose the Elantra.

preve for handling and acceleration if you like adrenalin's drive.
elantra - luxury & executive cruising type
price - of course elantra more expensive.
anyway choice is still the buyer's until he sign order of either one.
