It is recommend by Michelin, GY and even Tire rack. If front less thread pattern and if loose traction (under steer), slowing down and can be controlled. If rear less pattern and loose traction (Over steer) very hard to control.
Check with your car club/model and ask in that forum what suspension is good. As you mentioned got many brands, therefore I can say, you will get reply saying this is good and that is good and you will further be more confused.
As far as I know, have done some lowering in earlier days, you cannot have comfort if the ride is lowered. You suspension travel is already less, and to prevent bottom out, the lowered springs used are harden or added spring rate, so sure the ride will be bumpier. Maybe getting those that can tune the spring and oil damping rate ones, then you have more option....

thanks bro.. will try asking myvi forums.. ride looks really high after intalling 17" wheels.. but i already can feel the loose of comfort compared to my stock wheels and tires.. but not that worst.. still good  i saw many recommend eibach pro-kit in many forums.. but quite high priced and most of the shops don't have it..

With 17" and 40 series tyres you are already feeling the effect. Do you have any friends with lowered ride in Sports suspension. Ask them for a trial ride before going deeper into this.....
For this you cannot get feedback on it, because ride tolerance (bumpy or not) differs from people to people.....

Hi Guys! Finally got my 195/50 R15 Michelin PS3 for my Saga BLM!
And the grip compared to 185/60 R14 Michelin XM1 is... Phenomenal and Jaw dropping!!

Simple example: Try going for a U-Turn at 40km/h (when you're alone lah =D)
XM1 will slide a bit and scream like anything already.
PS3, NO SOUND, and seems like i can push it further! (but trust me, u do NOT want to u turn at 40km/h everyday =D)

Fuel consumption wise after the upgrade, Highway : No difference, City : 5% - 10% increase.
Taking into account that rolling resistance definitely increased, and that definitely more fuel will be bured,
the reason i can analyse is this:
Highway: with wider tyres, i'm able to take almost ANY corner the North-South Highway can throw at me WITHOUT slowing down,
due to the increase in confidence and phenomenal grip and stability, so i spend more time cruising than slowing down at
every (seemingly) sharp corner i see, so it actually balances out =D

City : Yes, 10% fuel increase is very real. 5% goes to the fact that you spend more time stopping and going,
so the heavier and more grippy tyres need more energy to get it up to speed.
The remaining 5% is behavioural =D With more grip, you'll accelerate more (often than you need to), take corners faster,
only to find that you need to brake again(aw.., that traffic light went red again, nevermind, i'll beat it next time....).
You get the picture =D

All in all extremely satisfied with the 14" to 15" upgrade, and will NEVER look back again =D

Anyways, forgot the shop name, but can dig it up if anyone wants it, it's in shah alam by the way:

Bro. bela, Congrats on your upgrade. PS3 definitely will grip better then your previous XM1. Max performance compared to entry level, 3 levels up. 195 to 185, 10mm wider contact patch, 50 series aspect ratio to 60 series gives you batter handling. PS3 rubber compound made for performance (grip)
As for FC also due to wider tyres, more traction and resistance. Better handling, you tent to push a bit more....ha! ha!

The price 50 and 55 series all same price?

Yup, the same price.too bad for me lah, need to pay the same price for less rubber, but worth every cent!!!

Price is for cash and carry though ( i think will include balancing if i ask =D)
Michelin PS3 195/50 R15 - RM260
Michelin PS3 195/55 R15 - RM260

The shop has "Michelin" as it's shop signboard, and sells mainly michelin tyres anyway, so i assume his price should be most current.
Went to others, said the price is the same, but one quoted me rm280 (need to order), and the other rm270 (worse, 1 week arrival).

Normally Balancing is always free with tyre purchase, except alignment but negotiable if buy 4 tyres.
Since you mention it is without balancing, so how much you paid for balancing. The price you quoted is cheap but if they charge you for balancing it adds to the cost. 55 series is definitely cheap as most places RM280 and above

Oh! your cash and carry price was because you mount elsewhere. I thought they added mounting price after quoting tyre price. In this case then okay.....:driver:

is easier for everyone to check on the price list instead. Just my suggestion ya

Aiming Headlights Or, how to maximize visibility without blinding other drivers By: Tom Morr/autoMedia.com

Causes | Back To Top
Headlights can become misaligned in many ways. One of the most common is when the person replacing a bad light inadvertently turns the adjusting screws instead of the retaining fasteners. Fender-benders and other front-end damage can also cause lights to become askew, as can carrying heavy loads in the rear...
