Why is this tyre more popular than the S1 evo2 ah? I thought the S1 evo2 is the flagship.

omg runflats really damn noisy.

S1Evo2 has limited sizes and mostly in larger sizes, whereas V12Evo2 have most sizes from 15"

Both are true UHP class but yes S1E2 is supposed to be the flagship and the most reviewed/compared against PS*, F1*, PZero, etc2. Note though the V12E2 was compared by Car and Driver magazine against PS4S, F1A3, Continental ECS, and it came out 3rd ahead of F1A3! So not bad for a tire costing only half or even less than those flagships.

My concern comes from the fact the S1Evo2 is older than the v12 evo2. And due to material and design advancement the newer ones will usually be better if they are of the same category.

Considering the v12 evo2 is the 2nd ranked tire by Hankook and it’s newer than the S1 Evo2, I won’t be surprised if it performs better. Anyway the price diff between the v12evo2/m and the Kumho PS31 is only RM25 bucks each, so probably get the Hankook for my boat.

S1Evo3 is out, but again in large sizes......
In Malaysia already? Depending on the price, if it’s 2/3 the price of PS4 then worth considering.

F1A5 seems to have gain back some ground. CPC6 seems holding up to the challenge against the Max/UHP tyres
Yes F1A5 has catch up a bit and CPC6 apparently lives up to its claim to upgrade as true uhp class replacing CSC5. It's disappointing that Continental Malaysia doesn't bring it here!

Probably because of the name but performance wise it's already going toe-to-toe with PS4 etc. The ones above it in Continental are only left CSC6 and ECS which are both positioned to rival PS4S.

Last week I had the time to DIY a small project to change the 3rd brake light from bulb to LED. It's not too difficult to do and as I go along this DIY I found some areas that could be improved so this is sort of a learning stage or prototype stage. Also you can also buy a set of DRL and custom fit the DRL into the casing and it's easier...it's up to you how you want to do this but I like to build things from scratch..this DIY cost me less than MYR20...so have fun guys..
