Does haltech E6X replace the existing ECU of the car or is it a piggy back type? Also....What are important features to look for when choosing an ecu?

Sorry to hijack the topic but does anyone here installed E6K onto an auto tranny car b4? From what I can see... TCM (transmission control module) require some wires from the engine ECU to shift gears.

It must been great living in the 70's, when cars were much interesting and lacked safety features. Jeremy Clarkson of Top Gear gets in the wheel of a Reliant Robin and went rolling around on the streets of Barnsley. Watch how interesting the Reliant Robin being a crazy flipper. Selamat Hari Raya and Merdeka to all!
