Once the Lamborghini LP570-4 Superleggera had touched the road, it was only a matter of time before the boys from Sant’Agata chopped the roof off to give it the Spyder treatment.

That day has come with the LP570-4 Spyder Performante, essentially a Superleggera Spyder, benefits primarily from Lambo’s taking a leaf out of the Lotus playbook and going the route of weight reduction.

Courtesy of a fresh serving of carbon fiber bits, the Performante is 65kg lighter than its predecessor, weighing in at 1,485kg. Up front, the nose benefits from the Superleggera’s razor design with the rest of the aero pinched from its hardtop sibling as well.

On the inside, Alcantara is generously stitched all over the place to cosset the driver and passenger from head to toe.

Out back, the powerplant of choice would be the same 5.2-liter V10 from its hardtop brother that sends power to the tune of 570hp and 540Nm of torque to all four wheels. Performance figures for the Performante se it reaching the century mark from a standstill in just 3.9-seconds and it will keep going all the way to 324km/h.

As of now, that’s all that Sant’Agata are sharing with us and as soon as more numbers on the new raging bull trickle out, we’ll get it here for you.

hwl is a good brand overall, the hi-lo-soft-hard (MT4) is more expensive at about 3k++ iirc, but the hi-lo model (MT1) shud be much more cheaper at around RM1.5k+
