Although it is scheduled to be launched in April, Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia officially previewed the all-new Mitsubishi Outlander last Friday and at the same time allowing customers to place their bookings for the new SUV.

The new Outlander is available only in 4WD and is powered by a 2.4-liter Mitsubishi Innovative Valve timing Electronic Control (MIVEC) engine that pushes out 167PS at 6,000rpm and a maximum torque of 222Nm at 4,100rpm.
The 4WD systems has three different driving modes to offer – 4WD ECO, 4WD Auto and 4WD Lock. In 4WD Eco, the Outlander is able to deliver one of the best-in-class fuel efficiency of 12.8km/l. In 4WD Auto, the right amount of torque is distributed to all four wheels to provide smoother cornering performance, while 4WD Lock permanently feeds torque to all wheels during a hill climb, muddy trails or rough roads.
Safety is also a priority for Mitsubishi where the Outlander comes as standard with features like 7 airbags, Active Stability and Traction Control (ASTC), Hill-Start Assist (HAS), Anti-lock braking system (ABS) with Electronic Brake-Force Distribution (EBD), Brake Assist, Mitsubishi’s Reinforced Impact Safety Evolution (RISE Body) and Collapsible Steering Column.
The Outlander is also fitted with premium features such as a sunroof, electric tailgate, LED headlamps with daytime running lights (DRL), and 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels. On the inside, the passengers are kept comfortable in the versatile 7-seater Leather Seats.
The all-new Outlander SUV comes with an exclusive introductory on-the-road price of RM 166,720 for cars booked before 31st May 2016. The Outlander also comes with a warranty package of five years or 100,000km, whichever comes first.
