In a few months’ time, Ferruccio Lamborghini would have turned 100 if he was still alive. So in honour of the supercar empire that he has built, Lamborghini will be producing a limited-run supercar nicknamed the Centenario, a follow-up model to the Sesto Elemento, Aventador J, Reventon, and Veneno.

Being Lamborghini, they will only make 40 of such models and while they have not even revealed the looks of the car to the public, it is reported that all 40 units of the Centenario has been sold out. And mind you, each of the Centenario will not come cheap as it will cost the buyer USD 2.4 million (RM 10.52 million) a piece.

There is not much information available about this Centenario, but what we do know is that the car will be based on the Aventador and the 6.5-liter V12 engine will be tinkered upon to produce around 760-horsepower. From the 40 units produced, 20 will be coupes and another 20 will be convertibles.

The car will not be like the track-only Sesto Elemento as it will be street legal and is expected to host the newest development in aerodynamics, chassis control, lightweight materials and engine technology.

“On one hand it is for collectors and lovers of the brand, it is also a celebration in this sense, but on the other hand it is also for Maurizio Reggiani and his team to demonstrate what they able to do with technical innovations,” said Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann.
