Ever since the birth of the three hybrid supercars, we have always wanted to see them going against each other on the circuit to find out which is fastest. But what about in a drag race? Which will leave the line faster and does horsepower really matter in such a game to cross the finish line first?
Such a question will be answered here at Supercar Driver’s drag battle between the McLaren P1, Ferrari LaFerrari and the Porsche 918 Spyder. On paper, it looks like the Ferrari LaFerrari will triumph against the others as it has the most amount of horsepower, 949 to be exact as compared to the P1’s 903-horsepower and the 918’s 887-horsepower.
But one thing that is worth noting that the P1 benefits from two turbochargers and the 918 has all-wheel drive advantage. So this is a really complicated game to play and it is not that straight forward.
Taking place at the Bruntingthorpe Aerodrome, there is ample space for the cars to go to amazing speeds as it features a 60-metre wide, 3.2km straight. Who will triumph; the 918, P1 or LaFerrari?
