Ever since McLaren took the covers off their P1 hypercar, it just took us by surprise not only with its looks but the performance as well. ‘Designed by air’, the P1 might feature a 3.8-liter twin turbocharged V8 engine which sounds similar to all other McLaren cars today, but this one is paired with an electric ECU motor that produces a combined output of 903BHP.
But all good things will come to an end, and it is now time for us to say goodbye to the amazing P1 as the final example or the 375th unit has recently rolled out of the McLaren factory. This final unit is finished in pearlescent orange shade, similar to the 64th and final McLaren F1 road car, and has details finished in carbon fiber like the splitter, diffuser, and the side blades.
The cabin has been refined by MSO where the switchgear, instrument surrounds and air vents features gloss black detailing. The lightweight carbon fiber-shelled seats are wrapped in black and orange Alcantara with contrasting stitching on the steering wheel.
“The McLaren P1 has achieved more than we ever expected of it since it was first previewed little over three years ago, both as a new generation of supercar, and in enhancing the McLaren brand globally,” said McLaren’s Chief Executive Officer, Mike Flewitt.
Like mentioned earlier, the P1 has a twin turbo 3.8-liter V8 that produces 903BHP and 664 lb-ft of torque, allowing it to dash from zerotohundred in 2.8 seconds, 0-200 in 6.8 seconds, and 0-300 in 16.5 seconds. Top speed is limited at 350 km/h.
