A subsidiary of Tan Chong Motor Holdings and the sole franchise holder for Renault cars in Malaysia, TC Euro Cars Sdn Bhd (TCEC) had recently introduced the new Renault Fluence into the Malaysian market. The new sedan now comes with sharp styling and a wide range of on-board technology, and not to forget a worry-free maintenance package to match the needs of its customers.
“The changes featured on the new Renault Fluence are perfectly in line with the needs of Malaysian customers who appreciate style and substance wrapped in a very competitive package,” said Kuan Kim Luen, Chief Executive Officer for TC Euro Cars Sdn Bhd.
With a front end that is identical to the brand’s other new models, the Fluence also gets LED daytime running light and chrome/gloss black inserts to fit the modern appeal. The roomy cabin fit for a family has been enhanced by the use of new upholstery for a segment-topping comfort.
Connectivity is not an issue for the Fluence as it comes with new Bluetooth radios equipped with USD jack sockets. The Fluence also features the Renault R-Link multimedia system that could be operated via a touchscreen display or through voice command. The Renault R-Link incorporates the navigation system, telephony function and can also be used to connect to portable music players.
Offered in two variants, the entry-level Expression comes with a price tag of RM 108,888, while the full specification Dynamique is priced at RM 119,888. Both variants are powered by a Renault Nissan Alliance developed 2.0-liter petrol engine which is mated to the X-Tronic CVT automatic transmission.
To show their commitment to the safety of the occupants, both the variants come with six airbags and ESP. Other features like the keyless access card, dual zone automatic air-con with rear vents, reverse camera, cruise control and automatic lights and wipers are also available on both variants.
The Dynamique gets a bit more features than the Expression as it is fitted with full leather seats, daytime running lights, LED tail lamps, 17-inch Akihiro 2-tone alloy wheels and a free five-year maintenance package.
